Raising $100k in 10 weeks for LLS!

Our goal is to raise $100,000 in ten weeks for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). Like so many of you, I have witnessed first-hand the debilitating effects that cancer can have on both patients and their families. I watched my father's heartbreaking fight consume him in a mere 18 months.

I've been lucky enough to help our Washington Capitals raise cancer awareness through Hockey Fights Cancer for the past six years and was inspired by my dad and all of those brave kiddos we feature to take on a bigger role this year.

All funds raised here will fuel LLS's mission for groundbreaking research and clinical trials, patient advocacy and support, and better treatments for those in the fight against cancer in all its forms.

LLS has made tremendous progress - since 2000, 40% OF ALL NEW FDA-approved cancer therapies are blood cancer therapies; but there is so much more to do. Every THREE minutes someone in the U.S. is diagnosed with a blood cancer; every NINE minutes someone in the U.S. dies of a blood cancer; and leukemia is the MOST-DIAGNOSED form of CHILDHOOD CANCER.
